I worked with a guy that was stuck in the snow with someone else and he said "I'll help you clear out your car, and then you help me clear out mine." Dude said "Sure." And after his car was cleared out he drove off.

this one time i had to be at work at 11AM but i was out late the other night and i woke up at 3PM and 3 people missed their shifts and didn't get payed because they needed me to open the office and let them into their rooms.

since i'm friends with the guy that processes our weekly time sheet salary I told him to have the system pay me for that full day anyway.

that doesn't really fit what you guys are saying but it's congruent with the general theme of the fucked up things we do.

basically, some division wanted some easy test and some data. My manager doesn't want our group to do it because of politics and it was verbal over the phone in a conference call. So, the request is given to someone NOT in my group that doesn't even have the equipment to preform it. This guy comes over to me (because he knows I can do it), and asks for help. dun-dun-dun. I take 15 min out of my day to do it for him, give him the data, and told him I didn't want any part of it. Don't say shit where it came from. The data gets to the division requesting it, and an email pops up detailing the data and that it looks great....but WITH my name attached. My boss is on that cc. ring ring ring. It's my boss on the other end.
