After you are done with engine overhaul, are you going to sell the tractor or keep it?

I would like to get atleast $8k for it and then buy a front end loader for the new tractor ($10k new).
Not sure if that will happen.

Wife has to pick up the month's worth of groceries today and there is nothing to eat in the fridge. So I guess that means I get to starve for most of the day :(
Guess I'll take a nap.

You will not get 8k for that old tractor unless you find some die hard vintage tractor enthusiast.

Well I've had it on craigslist for $12k for 18 months have gotten one phone call about it :keke:
Prices are kind of all over the place right now. A few years ago nothing was below $10k, no matter what the year. Kind of weird how everything has fallen suddenly.
The other issue is all the "tractor stores" around here were having super low interest deals on stuff. So the rich people moving in around here on large lots had no problem just seeing a tractor as a $150 a month payment.
Once/if I get it running, I'm going to try to advertise it a bit more and having a "new motor" might help

And the other thing, Texas does these clean air buy back programs once a year. An old 50+hp tractor will take 80% - $30k (which ever is lower) off the price of a new tractor. But you have to buy the new tractor first and then apply for the grant which is very limited.

Why not keep it and use it as a front loader instead of buying a front loader for your new tractor? Two tractors is redundancy.

Also you have kids, which will grow up faster than you think. You can have your kids use one tractor. Good to teach kids real work and driving a tractor is real knowledge, much better than wasting time on Morrowind.

I am going to try to sell it. But realize I might have to just keep it
