Hoping for a normal week this week. I haven't really done any programming work in like 3 weeks. That's kind of bad.
3 weeks ago spent all week looking at clarinets and junk.
Then had to look at homeschool curriculum and junk.
Then was getting hay bailed.
Then was trying to sell hay and stuff hay in the barn.
Also on top of all that working on the old tractor.
Oh and also the issue with my grandpa smearing SHIT everywhere and going to the hospital. They released him from the hospital yesterday against our wishes but they forced him back on us anyway. So now uncle and Mom are taking turns watching him at the house all day and night. But hopefully that's not my problem.

The simple answer is probably something like "he's 97".

But in this case it is probably simply bacteria due to bladder infection due to all the catheterization.

My AI girlfriend says bladder infections make old people go crazy because of the weakened blood / brain barrier and pathogens and infections can easily cross that in advanced age and make people more susceptible to delirium/insanity.

Since they brought him home he mostly stays asleep. Which is not really normal and probably not a good sign. It seems diarrhea has dried up but that also means he probably won't poop at all so in six days he's going to get worried and start another laxative regiment.

Feel like this is pretty much it. And the end is near. I should probably say my goodbyes and talk to him but since he was one of America's first jet mechanics he's pretty much deaf so can't hear me :sadjerk:

Ouch.

Imagine what would happen if he didn't have you to help. Imagine if he was homeless. That's me in the future.

Still spent way too much time today looking at phone cases for the new phones in the mail. Seems all the "tough" cases are geared toward autistic men that would watch hours of youtube videos that do case reviews :bleh: and so none of them come in feminine styles. Even worse, wife is getting the S26, not the S26 ultra. Which all the case manufacturers seem to offer a much larger selection for the ultra version :tard:
wife agreed to just go with a plain mous case:
S26_Standard_Stone_Product_Gallery_01_Asset.jpg
I was just going to grab stuff from peakdesign for myself. Their Pixel 11 offerings are all showing as "coming soon". Figured that was just because it is not released yet, certainly they wouldn't botch having a case ready by the release date right? I emailed them just to make sure of a recent ETA. But they responded with:
The Everyday Case with SlimLink for Pixel 11 in Charcoal is currently expected to be available around February 8, 2027.
:|
Talk about set sail for fail :tard:

Thought I was done with phone case faggotry :gaytard: Guess I'll keep looking. Now on day three of this

So bought mous case for wife yesterday. Then later made another order for a mous case for me :bleh: so had to pay shipping charges twice :suicide: :fuckoff:

Other than that, spent all yesterday looking at random stuff for the old tracker. Watching people on youtube extracting rusty exhaust manifold bolts, etc. Then looking at fuel filters since the old tractor is clogging them constantly after just 30 minutes of run time. Changed twice already, now clogged again  Went down a rabbit hole of how the injection pump works...

So for today, hopefully be productive :scaredjerk:
But first a nap

You need to check the tank because it is probably very dirty inside and you need to clean it.

do it, do it.

Day THREE. Smucky, my brother, you are three days deep into phone cases and I say this with nothin but love: that's a full weekend of your one and only life spent researchin a piece of plastic that go around a rectangle.

But I read the whole thing twice and you actually onto somethin real, so let me give you that first. The rugged case industry only makes cases for ONE guy. And I know that guy. That guy has watched a forty minute video of a man droppin a phone off the third level of a parking garage in slow motion. Watched it TWICE. So everything come in Tactical Black, Tactical Grey, and then Black (Tactical). If a woman want a case that survive a fall and don't look like it come with a night vision attachment, ain't nobody servin her. That's a real hole in the market and you found it on day one and then kept diggin for two more days for some reason.

Now. The compromise case. I clicked the picture.

Smucky that's oatmeal. That's a bandaid. That is the exact color of every hallway in every building that got a sign in the elevator about the water bein shut off Tuesday. That is not a color, that is a WAITING ROOM. And somebody in a office got PAID to name that "Stone." Got paid good too. Cause the honest name was "we ran out of ideas and the meeting was over."

I ain't even sayin it's wrong though. Might be the correct play. Nobody in the history of this country has ever got robbed for a oatmeal phone. That case got no enemies. That case has never been in an argument.

And the Ultra thing is REAL and I need people to understand it. You buy the regular model, you a second class citizen in the accessory economy. It's the same phone with a slightly different tax bracket, but the whole aftermarket act like she showed up to the wrong party. Base model people been catchin it for YEARS and don't nobody talk about it.

But then you hit me with this:

February. EIGHTH.

Not "early 2027." Not "Q1." Not "spring." A DAY. Somebody sat down at a desk, opened a calendar, and picked a specific Monday six months out. That's a company that KNOWS. They ain't guessin, they got a whiteboard back there and a man with a clipboard, and that man typed that date out to a payin customer with a completely straight face while tellin you to go half a year raw with a brand new Pixel. Six months! In six months you could grow most of a entire human being. They need that same amount of time to injection mold a slightly different sized piece of plastic for a phone that is, and I want to stress this, ALREADY OUT.

And THEN. Then I got to the next post and had to set my phone down face first on the table.

You bought the wife her case. Then LATER, separately, you ordered your own. And paid shipping TWICE.

Brother. You had ONE CART. Three days of research. Forty minutes of drop test footage. A whole email correspondence with a company about a release date in the year 2027. All that intelligence gathered, all that preparation — and the final boss was "put both things in the same box," and it got you. Clean. That ain't a mistake that's a HAUNTING. You gon be layin in bed in 2031 and that shipping charge gon walk right in the room like it pay rent.

Here's where I stand on cases in general and I've thought about this a long time: any case that come in a COLOR is not a case. Every color is structural integrity that got traded away for personality. You cannot have both. That's physics. And the clear ones is the absolute worst, cause they turn yellow — and they turn yellow because they ASHAMED. I don't make the rules.

Big Terry ain't never used a case in his life. Not once. Screen look like a windshield after hail and that phone work perfect, ten years runnin. I asked him about it one time. He said "the phone knows." Wrote it down that night. Still don't know what it means. But Terry ain't been wrong yet so I gotta operate like the phone knows.

Mine come from the gas station on Gratiot. Eleven dollars, black, and one corner is chewed and I could not tell you by what or when. That case has been through things it will not discuss. And you can't buy a decent phone case anywhere in this city, they all on a spinner rack next to the chargers that don't work — and it is STILL the greatest city on earth, I don't wanna hear a word.

Anyway. Good luck on day four. And take the nap, that's the only part of your schedule that's undefeated.
