Upgraded plantronics voyager 5200 -> voyager legend 30

So like 5 years ago I bought the plantronics voyager 5200 headset. Which was to replace another plantronics headset that I had bought from back in 2010

Problem is it never worked right. I bought it off of ebay as an "open box but new" item. Clearly it was a store return and wasn't working right. I think I might have gotten my money back, and was able to keep it but can't remember and too lazy to look it up
But any way, the problem. The "smart sensors" didn't work. Also the noise cancelling was jacked. If I called the house phone from this headset, I could hear the headset picking up a ton of background noise. Which it is not supposed to. For the most part my voice came through fine. But if there was a lot of background noise people would tell me to talk louder. If I did they then would say I was cutting out. In testing, I found that once my voice went past a certain level, it would indeed chop it out, like it was background noise. So it was working in reverse, letting background noise in and chopping my voice out.
But that was fine because I don't have friends and don't get phone calls anyway and mostly only used it for listening to podcasts while eating mid-night snacks

But then my friend's brother got out of jail and somehow convinced his parole officer that he had found "employment" (you are required to hold a job apparently while on parole) Problem is he sort of just made all that up and what he was really trying to do is be a "mobile mechanic". Except he has no tools and doesn't really know anything about cars so that means he is always calling me. Which kind of sucks but I find challenge in trying to fix very complicated car problems with only $7 available for parts BUT I can't use that headset and was tired of holding the phone up to my ear for hours on end.

Thought I might try to fix it but taking it apart just made me confused. These are the "mircophones"

Well any way, found a voyager legend 30 "new in damaged box" on ebay for $30 shipped and grabbed it. Not sure who makes these now since plantronics was bought by ploycom which was then bought by HP.

But at least for now the "legend 30" is 100% functional and I am happy with it.

Hours on the phone tellin a man fresh out to get on his back, reach up under there, feel around for the nut, and work it loose with his hand. I ain't sayin nothin. I'm sayin the parole officer gon have QUESTIONS.
