And after 4 hours of guzzling coffee and tea, I can finally take a dump

Wife complaining that her fuel gauge on the car isn't working. Always reads full. She hasn't driven much this month, but it seems it should be at least not still on full. Spent many hours all week looking into how to diagnose and test the sending unit in the tank and watching youtube vids, etc. Just went to take it to the family auto shop so I can put it up on the lift and probe wires but noticed the gauge was now at 3/4. Parking the car in the ditch to put a good angle on it had the gauge move lower or higher depending on which way the car was leaning. Just drove to the gas station instead. 19 gallon tank took 8 gallons
She swears it should be on empty.

It's much simpler than that. It's just that most the time when I'm posting on this website I just happen to be in the bathroom taking a dump. Or at least in the morning hours.


If I was truly a fecal feliac I would be posting pictures of my business. But I like to keep my content as such if my wife and kids ever found this website that I wouldn't get divorced.

So on the way back from the assisted living house, there was a dump truck with a "hot load" that decided to just dump it out on the street

I wonder what the actual procedure is for a dump truck in this situation? Seems opening everything up is the worst thing to do? I would think if you just hit the compact button, that smashing the trash would push all the oxygen out and smother it.

That won't work if the garbage has its own oxidizer. For example when Li-Ion batteries burn it creates its own oxidizer.

But would a ruptured lithium ion battery still get hot in the absence of oxygen? Well actually after thinking about it some doesn't it just react with the water in the air and generate heat? And that heat can cause a fire?

But either way it seems compacting the trash would force out any oxygen and prevent the fire from spreading to other trash.

My son keeps managing to crash firefox on his laptop. Thought it was all the crappy websites he goes to but my set up is nearly identical to his and I never have crashes. Looking at the submitted crash reports, a few have been auto-correlated into a category for "high probability of bad hardware".

I guess I'll fire up memtest+ on it, haven't used that in like 15 years
