I was trying to think of ways to motivate my kids and I was trying to think of stuff that interests them. Which is not much. Then I was thinking about how when I was really little it seemed like there was so much new technology around me. But it was all technology that I could never have or never afford. So everything I did get, I really cherished it. Stupid stuff, garage sale radios, speakers, made in Taiwan plastic toys, stupid pocket "video games" with the black lcd screen, music on tape, then on CDs, etc.
But now when I look around, it seems people, no matter the age or income, have all their technology needs mostly met. Nothing can impress them. Perhaps this was first realized in the zoomer generation, and how they just lay around with their parents, even though they are pushing 30+ years old at this point.
I dunno, seems like I'm on to something
