Spent like the last two weeks screwing around in minecraft. Hasn't messed with it since like June 2024. Had an idea to build a giant sign with my name on it that blinks and lights up. Figured I could introduce my kids to digital logic. Which I thought I knew pretty well. I remember in college using this crappy windows software appropriately called "Logic Works" or something. We'd make NOR gates, which you would then use to make latches/flip flops. Which you then used to make shift registers, etc and I remember having a good understanding how a CPU was just flip flops all the way down. But now I can't remember any of it Wanted to make a shift register or something in minecraft to control the lighting of my letters. Online wikis and chatGPT didn't really help. Finally found some 15+ year old youtube videos and now I think I'm on the right path
But this is yet again something I've put in front of working on my start up/SasS idea

I didn't know that, also I didn't know you have to study for a month to master it.

Man gay day. Didn't wake up until 12pm Was supposed to go and pick up some chickens from an old friend not too far from here. Only catch was the chickens came with a duck and a goose. So had to quickly wake up, drink coffee and take a dump. Once we got there, they had them penned up but they had all escaped, except for the goose managed to throw that and the duck into the cage and figured we'd come back later for the chickens. Also noticed it was just two chickens and a rooster. They don't know what happened to the rest. Stopped by a place to grab a christmas tree. Did that quickly, $90 for a short one Got home has to get the goose and duck situated. Then had to get the tree set up. Managed to get sap all over me and all over the floor was about to take my afternoon nap (already 3 hours late for that) but was informed the chickens were back in the pen and now would be a good time to come back and get them Got that, came back home. Already dark, so other chickens were already in the coop. Just shoved the new ones in there and closed the door. Manged to still get SHIT slung all over me Came inside for my afternoon nap even though it was dark outside. Got up 30 minutes later. Remembered last year most of the christmas tree lights were no longer working and was going to buy new ones but then lost my job and didn't want to spend money and forgot So spent an hour and a half swapping bulbs and stuff and finally got two full working strands

And that brings us to right now
Now off to minecraft

Oh and have no idea how having two roosters now will turn out. It was dark when we shoved the new one in the coop. Even in the dark we could hear them fighting. The automatic door will open in the morning way before we ever get out of bed so no telling what kind of mess me might have in the morning. But don't care
