Why would a $30000 "investment" in bitcoin make him go nuts, it would rather make him very rich if he bought bitcoin at the right time however it is a question of timing. If he bought it recently there is chance he lost money, however losing $30000 isn't the end of the world which he would just lose a fraction of that anyway.

“Deputies learned Zachery Ty Bryan, 44, of Eugene, was in a pickup truck with Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, of Eugene, and their three small children. They were driving together in the area.”

According to police, Bryan got out of the pickup truck and began walking down a road.

“Cartwright then attempted to run over Bryan, crashing the truck with the children inside into the ditch,” police claimed in the statement. “Bryan was able to move out of the way and avoid injury. No one inside the pickup was injured.”

Deputies interviewed both Bryan and his fiancée and allegedly observed signs that “both were impaired.”

Officials also interviewed witnesses contacted on the scene. Per a court order from a prior case, police said Bryan was not supposed to be in contact with Cartwright.

“After additional investigation, Cartwright was arrested for Attempted Assault in the 1st Degree, three counts of Recklessly Endangering and DUII,” police concluded in a statement. “Bryan was arrested for a probation violation on an original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree. The involved children were placed with a family member.”
