Noco Genius: Battery Tickle Charger

Post by Smucky »

Needing a trickle charger for all these batteries around here. I think I got about 10 "vehicles" that have a 12 volt lead battery. And only two or so really get regular runtime hours. Since I got the battery tester I've been noticed a few batteries needing a charge up. I have a charger. Well actually it was my grandpa's. Many years ago he complained the battery charger he had, which was a "typical" 12 volt charger only weighting a few pounds, was too heavy to carry around for him at his old age and was wanting one with "wheels". So rich uncle goes shopping but the only "charger on wheels" he could find are those large industrial ones for auto shops. So he dropped the $300 for one of those and delivered it to grandpa who then called me to go "wheel" it into the barn for him because it was too heavy for him to push :ugh:
So I got a charger, it goes from 2-500 amps and is rather large and a pain to roll it around to the various vehicles to top off. Figured I'd get some ultra cheap Chinesium 1A trickle charger and then rotate it through the various vehicles one week at a time or so. But seems the china ones truly do suck:

Managed to get the Noco Genius 1A off of ebay for under $24 shipped, but took a lot of lowballing the sellers on there :tard: Should maybe get here before the weekend.

Seems to be a quality product and full of "advanced electronics" and stuff.

I got a solar trickle charger in the windshield. Has kept it fresh years now. Also I only get the chargers with pulse repair. Didn't watch the vid
