Re: My activities for the month of stardate 20426 are/is
Need to get my septic tank pumped. Keep putting it off
But the guy I used last time kind of rubbed me the wrong way, plus he charged me like $620. In the good 'ol days, a pump out was like $150. But all those guys have died. And the new people that replaced them all have million dollar trucks with giant payments I'm sure.
Debating on just buying a pump and doing it myself. One on facebook right now for $175
Plus would have to get about $250 on hoses. But now that my wife is forcing me to use condoms, I think my kids finding the field behind our house full of used rubbers might mar them
Then noticed a full blown vacuum trailer for $9k also on facebook, but several hours away.
With that I could pump my own tank, plus my neighbor's and run my own simple business. But curious what disposal rates were, went down a super long rabbit hole. I managed to find all the registration records for the "sludge handlers" on the state's website. Which had all the water treatment plants and also any of the pumpers. It also documented where they were disposing of their sewage and how many gallons. The guy that charged me $620 last time has record showing nearly a million gallons he has pumped. A very rough estimate would put his profits above $150k per year. But more interestingly, the main place he dumps is a newer place that is permitted for "agricultural sewage application". Basically a 300 acre plot of land where the pumpers drop off their load and then they inject it into the ground with something like this:
And googling the name of the farm/company showed there was a huge uproar a few years ago before the place was put in business. Records show he is probably taking in a few million gallons a year, the permit for the place allows up to 4 million gallons per year (roughly 150k gallons per acre). And while digging through all that info, I found there was a 100 acre plot of land not far from here that ran a similar operation from 2015 - 2021 before the state stopped permitting them. Apparently someone next to the property continually complained to the Texas Environment Commission multiple times a month for "violations". The complaints were not valid but it caused a continual string of inspections that always found other issues. The owner eventually sued the neighbors, which drug on for years with the judge eventually claiming anti-slapp on part of the owner, and the owner was then ordered to pay over $50k to the neighbors to reimburse their legal costs
and now that chunk of land lies empty.
Anyway, more digging through the records looking for pumpers didn't yield many choices. I bookmark a few and was about to call it quits when the last one I looked up, had no dumping records because it was just permitted last month. Dug the guy up on facebook and found he just bought a truck
And is running a $300 per tank pump special. I found my guy.

Woke up early today. Everyone still asleep even though it is daylight out. And I really need to take a dump but don't want to wake the household

Re: My activities for the month of stardate 20426 are/is
bla, one of the ceiling lights in the kitchen started flickering
Looks like it made it to 7 years old. Probably on for 15 or so hours a day.
New ones ares are $20 a piece. Got a box of 12 on ebay for $100
Issue is always the same, the resistor in the center is dropping too much wattage, runs too hot

And now time to drop off

You should let your wife handle the tasks when it comes to lighting. I'm not sure you're the right person.

Just download "Anthro Heat Demo" on steam. That's something you should spend your time on.
