Yes I have thought about that. A back up would be nice. Even thought that I could use it to help restore the relationship with my son. Like we could both work together to plow up the back field. Might be cool. But I hate that old tractor so much.
It's actually a good idea, letting your son in on an engine rebuild. Then he learn something real and not some fag stuff.

You have to run at least 45psi in the front tires (which say 40psi max) just to keep them from looking flat. So it rides like absolute hell. The new tractor only needs 15-20psi in the fronts, it feels like you ride on air in comparison ( ).
Also since the loader is welded on, the welds are constantly cracking so you have to take it back to the neighbor every few years for touch ups.
That's because back in the day they built stuff that could last not some cheap Indian tractor shit. This means it is a bit heavier but indestructible. Also build a bigger barn when you at it so that you can fit two tractors.
Also you don't have a front loader for the new tractor so you have to repair the old one.
And now to get back to my vibe coding projects that I haven't touched since the end of December. Can't even remember where I left off at and of course, the entire AI landscape has changed in the last four weeks
